Caley started her nursing career in intensive care and quickly noticed clients coming in for medical hospitalization had mental health needs that were not met with the same compassion as their physical health needs. Recognizing the demand for compassionate mental health care in her community, she changed course and went on to work as a behavioral health nurse on an inpatient unit and pursued graduate training in psychiatry. Throughout her clinical training she was introduced to trauma informed care and became well versed in trauma theory.

Working as a nurse practitioner in community mental health she was troubled by the abundance of trauma that often went unrecognized and unaddressed. She felt unsatisfied with the care she was able to provide working from a traditional psychiatric model and decided to pursue further training in integrative psychiatry.

Caley is passionate about helping her clients thrive and lead lives that are emotionally, physically, and spiritually fulfilling. She considers the dynamic between provider and client to be a partnership, and strives to ensure her clients feel heard and understood. She believes treatment planning should be comprehensive and reflect each individual client’s goals and values. She considers it an honor and a privilege to help clients on their journey toward mental wellness.
