Dr. Obit is a recent graduate from the two year Integrative Medicine fellowship through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Soon after graduating psychiatry residency at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, she realized that the typical practice of psychiatry was not truly getting her patients to a place of wellness and it was ultimately unfulfilling. She was introduced to the Integrative Medicine fellowship when she was in medical school, having completed a month-long Integrative Medicine rotation in her fourth year of medical school. Dr. Obit believes in addressing the multifactorial aspects of mental health and wellness to get to the root cause of disease and provide patients with a guide to wellness that is attainable and sustainable. She is particularly interested in the fields of nutritional psychiatry and psychoneuroimmunology. In her own life, physical activity is a foundation for her own wellbeing, and she loves to be outdoors in the mountains when not at work.
