Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her Master’s degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University and is certified in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Therapy. These approaches share the view that we are all fundamentally good with the innate capacity to heal.
Emily believes we are resilient, and that we are so much more than any diagnosis or difficulties we have faced. Using therapy methods that incorporate mind and body, she has seen the change that can happen when we turn inward, learn about ourselves, and tap into our inherent wisdom and self-compassion.
Emily has been described as practical and grounded, yet deeply insightful and compassionate toward the human experience. When not pondering the mysteries of the universe, Emily dabbles in music and art, and animals bring her great joy.
